Community Guidelines

Last Updated: April 17th, 2025

Flinteract is a supportive, culturally rooted space designed for Indian students, professionals, and families living in the U.S. We want this community to be welcoming, informative, and safe — especially with the option to post anonymously or with a pseudonym.

By using Flinteract, you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. Respect Others

  • Speak to others with kindness and empathy.
  • Disagree respectfully — no hate speech, bullying, or personal attacks.
  • Don't make assumptions about someone's background, gender, religion, or identity.

2. No Harassment or Abuse

  • Do not harass, threaten, or stalk any user.
  • Do not encourage self-harm, suicide, or violence.
  • Reporting a problem is helpful — retaliating is not.

3. Keep it Legal

  • Do not post content that is illegal or promotes illegal activity.
  • This includes sharing pirated material, drugs, or unlicensed services.
  • Do not impersonate others or spread false information.

4. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

  • Absolutely no racism, casteism, sexism, xenophobia, or homophobia.
  • This applies even in anonymous posts — there is zero tolerance.

5. Be Mindful of Sensitive Content

  • If discussing difficult or potentially triggering topics (e.g. mental health, trauma), add a content warning (CW) when possible.
  • Do not post graphic or explicit content. This is not an NSFW platform.

6. No Spam or Self-Promotion

  • Don't post irrelevant links or repetitive messages.
  • Promotion is allowed only in designated spaces (if enabled later).
  • AI-generated or copy-pasted spam will be removed.

7. Respect Anonymity

  • Do not try to guess, reveal, or publicly speculate about someone's identity — even if you think you know them.
  • Don't misuse anonymity to harm others or escape accountability.

8. Moderation & Reporting

  • Posts and comments may be moderated by humans and AI-based tools.
  • Repeated or serious violations may result in warnings, shadowbans, or permanent bans.
  • Use the Report feature to flag violations — it helps keep Flinteract healthy.

9. You're Responsible for Your Words

Even if you're anonymous, your content must follow these rules. We log metadata (not personal info) to enforce platform safety.

10. Let's Build Something Positive

We want Flinteract to be a space for help, learning, humor, growth, and solidarity. If you're unsure whether something belongs, ask yourself:

"Would I say this to someone's face with respect?"

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal or account restrictions.

Thanks for helping us keep Flinteract respectful and useful for everyone.
